Taxation

Corporation Tax

My experience stretches from handling routine compliance issue (completing Corporation Tax Returns, advising on tax payments, etc) to complex group tax planning and structures. I handle negotiations with the Inland Revenue, submit clearance applications for reorganisations and advise on establishing share and other incentive schemes for companies of all sizes.

Personal Tax

The focus here is on the needs of the individual. The normal compliance work (completion of the annual tax return) is part of a full financial planning service, incorporating Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax and Inheritance Tax advice and planning.

International Tax Planning

I have a wide circle of associate firms around the world. As a result I have acquired considerable knowledge of the differing tax systems that exist. I am able to ensure that my clients are fully prepared for the foreign regimes that they will encounter, and also that the foreign taxes that they are exposed to are kept to the minimum possible within the constraints of the law.

Value Added Tax

As well as assisting in the completion of the quarterly VAT returns, I can advise on all aspects of VAT:

  • should you de-register?;
  • what are the effects of partial exemption?;

I will ensure that routine monitoring visits are trouble-free and, when necessary, negotiate with Customs & Excise on our clients’ behalf.

I am a registered auditor and offer a value added audit to my clients who cross the broad spectrum of businesses from small traders to medium-sized companies. I recognise that audits are often a regulatory imposition and need to be conducted efficiently and economically. In addition to regular corporate auditing, I also specialise in regulated audits covering areas such as local councils, clubs and sole traders.
